About me

Cesar Martinez

Web Developer

Originally from Dominican Republic, I studied in France, learned and worked in Estonia, currently living in France. Circumstances at work, as well as the vibrant startup scene in Tallinn and my personal interest, drove me to a career in coding.

Saying I'm a self-taught developer would be ungrateful to the dozens of people that had helped me build my skills in workshops, hackathons, conferences, and courses, both online and offline.

I develop websites and web applications. Worked as a freelancer until I accepted a full-time offer as a Front-End Developer from the Global Gaming Group. Now I'm open to new opportunities.

I enjoy using PHP-Laravel, Node, Firebase, Vue. I also have great experience with the React ecosystem. Due to the diversity of my experience I’ve had to work with a varied array of technologies: HTML5, CSS (SCSS, Bootstrap, Foundation), JavaScript (jQuery, Angular, Backbone/Marionette), Ruby on Rails, MySQL, MongoDB, Git, Docker, Webpack, WordPress, Drupal…

Even though my main responsability was regulatory compliance, I soon realized that the work could be optimized significantly with some coding knowledge. The firm allows me to use half of the business day to develop my ideas for applications. This has already paid off. What I have built are currently essential working tools.
